Bokashi Workshop, Kaitaia

Writer's picture: Caryl Doherty WalkerCaryl Doherty Walker

Our inspirational Timebank member Peter is offering a hands-on Bokashi workshop at his property in Kaitaia. Peter has been making Bokashi for around 7 years and has fine-tuned the process to be easy, simple and effective! Now is the perfect time to start making some goodness for your spring soil. If you haven't heard of Bokashi, in simple terms it is a form of fermented composting which is done on a small scale and in a sealed container. Amazing for the garden.

Peter will explain everything you need to know to get started to make your own. You'll go home with a bucket of ingredients ready to begin your own Bokashi adventure!

When: 1pm-3pm Saturday 24th August

Where: 111a Kaiawe Rd, Kaitaia

Bring: 10 litre bucket with lid (Mitre 10 sells these) and non-worm kitchen scraps (onion peels, egg shells etc)

Non-Timebank members - $20 per person

Timebank members - Gold Coin donation & pay in Timecredits

The workshop is capped at a maximum of 12 people, to secure your spot please rsvp to Caryl caryldw.tttimebank@gmail.com or 021 048 6394
