Open more hours!

We’re trialling Saturday opening 10am-12pm!

After conversations with those coming through our doors for our open day on Saturday, plus discussion with those who have been regularly meeting up for a cuppa on a Saturday morning at the Gecko in recent years we decided to give it a go and meet up here instead.

Our Monday – Friday 10-4 hours don’t suit many who are working full time so hopefully this will provide an opportunity for more people to call in, see what we’re about, have a chance to buy things to help them live a more sustainable life and hang around for a kōrero. Make yourself a cuppa for koha, but if you want a fancy coffee etc you’ll need to bring it with you (preferably in a reusable cup!! Feel free to wash it up here).

We could use a few more volunteers on our roster (timebank credits paid!) through the week and occasional Saturdays (we’re trying to make sure no-one has to do more than one Saturday a month). Our weekday ‘shifts’ are usually 10-1 and 1-4. We’d really like to have enough volunteers to have two people on at a time if possible, and we always ask new volunteers to do do a few shifts alongside someone else before being here alone in any case.
