The Emergency Compost Workshop is happening again in Kaitaia

Writer's picture: Caryl Doherty WalkerCaryl Doherty Walker

It was such a popular workshop last month that we've decided to run it again!! This will be held on Friday 15th November at Ano Ano, Bank Street Kaitaia from 3-5pm.

Recent events have shown us that we need different ways to cope in times of power cuts, water shortages etc. Having the ability to use a compost toilet when the power is out, or during a water shortage, is a useful skill to have.

Come along and learn how to make your own Emergency Compost Toilet system from our Timebank member Ken Spence who has loads of experience. Ken will explain how to make and use a simple bucket toilet, with the option of a urine separator (available to buy at the event and online at a discounted rate for workshop attendees) and how to manage the waste collected.

It's easy and effective. You'll have the opportunity to ask questions and much more.

Cost: Pay in Timecredits for Timebankers

$20 pp for non-Timebankers

RSVP to secure your spot or for any queries please contact Te Hiku Coordinator Caryl on 021 048 6394 caryldw.tttimebank@gmail.com
