Those special Timebanking moments

As coordinators we always love to hear those heartwarming stories about how Timebanking has enabled people to do things they otherwise wouldn't have; when connections made lead to long term friendships; when a community rallies round to help out in times of need.

Timebanking is about so much more than the individual exchanges recorded on the system, it's a kaupapa of strengthening communities, helping people be resilient and feel valued, and creating a sense of belonging.

This video shares some examples of how Timebanking can make some surprising connections.

In 2020-2021 French Canadian videographer Jean Baillargeon and partner Helen Roberts found themselves stranded on their yacht in Aotearoa NZ due to Covid. Luckily for us they joined Tai Tokerau Timebank and Jean put together a number of videos for us to explain the benefits of Timebanking and also some "How to..." videos to help members navigate their way around the Timebanking website. You can find all of the videos on our YouTube channel.
